I stood there for a while pondering whether it would be a good idea to go looking for Fugue mushrooms while such a hot-blooded lumberjack was probably rampaging around in the woods chopping trees down…I was about to bend down to pick up the key to unlock the entrance again when I felt another presence approaching…
Without thinking I jumped back behind some bushes to hide and quietly peered towards the entrance again.

A few seconds later a girl appeared. She had short brown hair that barely reached her shoulders but it naturally curled at its ends so…if it was straightened...
She was wearing an orangey-top that reached the top of her stomach, but she also had a yellowish short sleeve shirt under it that extended beyond the orange top so that her stomach was fully covered. She wore a short skirt under all that that extended from her waist to barely above her knees—under the skirt however, she had a longer set of black pants that extended beyond her skirt so that her overall look did not seem so "revealing" as it could have been.
She would have been just another villager in my eyes if not for the fact she had a strange…presence… or aura floating about her...

It was not quite the same aura that I nor the Witch have, it was almost as if…a blessing from the Earth surrounded her…I wasn't quite sure how to describe it but it intrigued me all the same.

As she walked towards the door blocking the entrance to the forest she paused in the middle of the clearing and seemed to look around the area curiously. At one point she seemed to stare at the direction I was hiding in and, just as I was starting to fear that she might have been able to read my presence as well, she turned back towards the locked door and approached it. Almost immediately she notices the key Luke previously (accidentally) knocked onto the ground and swiftly picks it up and swiftly unlocks the forest entrance door. Unlike Luke, she takes her time making sure to take the whole lock & key off so that what happened to Luke would not happen again to her or anyone else.
Afterwards, for a long moment, she stood in front of the door seemingly to contemplate something before she finally took a deep breath and muttered out loud, "Let's go find Luke" and entered the forest. She even turned around mid-stride to even make sure to close now lock-less gate behind her.

I again, waited a few moments to make sure she would not immediately come back out and I stepped out of my hiding spot. Now that there were two people wandering around in the maze-like Fugue forest I was more convinced that it wasn't a good idea to look for Fugue mushrooms anymore and that it would be better just to head home…

But my curiosity over the strange aura the girl seemed to have about her grew more and more overpowering until I couldn't hold my curiosity in any longer and decided to….reluctantly…follow her into the forest…

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Although my objective upon entering the forest was to seek her out, I was not able differentiate her presence from the forest's own…though it did not take me long to find both her and the hot-blooded lumberjack as I soon easily discovered them standing in the center of another forest clearing not too deep into the forest. The two appeared to be having a conversation and, not wanting them to notice me, I again hid myself behind some nearby bushes…

"Bo needs my help? He's such an amateur!" The man whom called himself Luke laughed aloud. "Well I guess that's enough practicing today then! Thanks for telling me, I'll head to where Bo is right now!!" He replied back to the girl as he enthusiastically striked a pose before leaving the forest as loudly as he could. I stared off towards his direction for a long time until I could no longer hear his loud stomping anymore and turned back around to return my attention to the girl, only to find her curiously staring right back into my face.

I leaped back in surprise and almost tripped over a large stump directly behind me….luckily I noticed it quickly and prevented myself from falling…

"What are you doing?" She asked as she continued to look at me curiously as I straightened myself up and brushed some leaves off myself…
I guess it wouldn't bode well if I said I was curious about her… I thought to myself before I quickly replied. "foraging…"

The girl tipped her head sideways a little and continued looking at me questioningly.
"Foraging?"

I looked down to see some mushrooms that happened to be near our feet and I pointed at them. "Mushrooms……a special kind….." She looked down and towards the direction I was pointing at and seemed to repeat to herself out loud "….a special kind?"

There was a moment of strange silence as she continued to stare at the mushrooms for awhile. It was then that I realized that the aura/presence I previously felt was not exactly coming from her but seemed to be floating around her as if it belonged to some invisible force or guardian constantly floating around her….I tried to pinpoint the exact source of the presence so that I could concentrate on it and force it to become visible to my eyes just for a second…but it's energy was unstable and it seemed to be constantly zipping around…

"A Fugue mushroom?" The girl finally looked up towards me and asked. I admit, I was a little impressed that she knew the correct name of the mushroom but then considered the possibility that she probably had made a lucky assumption based on the name of the forest… I said nothing and merely nodded.

"Let me help! What does it look like?" She continued to ask without waiting for my objection...

"No thanks…I'm done for today…" I quickly answered when she had made a pause expecting me to describe it to her. I carefully made my way out of the shrubbery and started walking towards the exit. "Wait, I'll give you some if I find any! Where do you live?"

I paused for a second and contemplated on whether to answer her or not…
I doubt that she'll find any so easily…but it wouldn't hurt… Was the last thought in my mind before I turned my head around part-way and replied back.
"….I reside in town…………..fortuneteller house."

Before she had a chance to respond I turned back around and rushed out of the forest…a little embarrassed that I had told her my home was the fortuneteller house

It was true that at one point I had been telling fortunes for a while as a part of my study (and a way to get some funds, despite being a Wizard money still ruled the world after all) but ever since I had misplaced my crystal ball I no longer read fortunes…

I headed back towards my house, now a little saddened, as memories of my late master entered my mind again as the crystal ball was something I received from him…

Where could it have gone…? It had been years since I haven't been able to find it…..was it truly lost?
I truly hoped I would find it again one day….
Sorry that this took so long to write....I really couldn't decide what I should make happen next but finally settled on this.....

This part marks the end of the "Prologue" section.

I do have ideas of what should happen after this but I'm not really much of a fan-writer anyway so I kinda think people will be bored outta their minds and not want to read more anyway...*shrug*
